Your Consultation
At your consultation you will be given the time that is needed to listen to your concerns and aspirations. An appropriate medical examination will be performed where necessary, including measurements and photography. You will receive an honest and professional opinion, based upon years of training and experience. Not every person is suitable for surgery and you can be assured that you will be advised if you should wait a few years or consider other options. Sometimes it is necessary to have more than one consultation prior to surgery. No charge is made for these further consultations.
The proposed treatment or operations, including any associated risks and limitations will be explained. Often example photographs will be shown. You will be encouraged to ask questions and take time to consider the information and plan of care.
Following Your Consultation
Following your consultation Gale Bell our practice manager will contact you and provide you with a full estimate of the costs involved with surgery. Written information on the procedure you are undergoing can be provided. It is important that you spend enough time to consider you treatment and make an informed decision that is based on sound professional advice. If you have any further questions, we would be very happy to arrange further consultations, at no additional charge.

Preparing For Surgery
You will receive detailed written information on how to prepare for your operation. Prior to surgery you will be contacted by the hospital to arrange pre operative assessment. It is very normal to feel nervous about your surgery and it is often helpful to discuss any queries or concerns.
