James Haeney is a highly trained and well-respected Plastic Surgeon who moved to the East Yorkshire area in 2010. He qualified from Cambridge and Oxford Universities before commencing surgical training in a number of large UK teaching hospitals. He is the clinical lead for the Plastic Surgery Department in Hull.
His advanced training in Plastic Surgery was undertaken in Yorkshire and the Midlands before gaining his FRCS(Plast) in 2008. He then undertook internationally renowned fellowships in Hand Surgery at the Pulvertaft unit in Derby and in Leeds and a fellowship in reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery in Nottingham and Leicester.
He believes that surgery can make a huge difference to quality of life but feels strongly that it is a decision that should not be taken lightly. It is important that anyone considering surgery has a full understanding of what can be achieved and the potential risks involved. At Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital these principles promote safe practice and maximise good results.
